Right by the water, lies the River Cottage with views opening up to an enchanting scenery.
Near the hotel buildings and the restaurant, yet in its own privacy right by the banks of the Svartå River, there is a charming and traditional two-story cottage. This small but spacious cottage, which can accommodate several people, was once built for the private accommodation of Magnus Linder's guests.
The cottage is particularly suitable for those seeking peace and quiet and for small party groups, such as bachelor and bachelorette parties!
An overnight stay in the River Cottage is an experience!
A rowboat at the river by cottage is available for guests throughout their stay. The cottage has a shower connected to the sauna and a composting toilet. In the yard, there is a traditional "outhouse." The door to the sauna is located on the cottage's terrace, right next to the front door.
TV and WLAN are not included in the cottage's equipment. Due to its location, thresholds, stairs, and lack of aids, the cottage is not suitable for people with mobility impairments.
The restaurant's breakfast buffet is included in the price when breakfast is served at the restaurant Linnankrouvi. In the cottage's small kitchenette, you can also prepare your own snacks.
Normal final cleaning is included in the price. We charge an extra cleaning fee according to our terms. Extra cleaning and change of bed linens can be ordered separately for longer stays.
The cottage is located near the hotel buildings Small Cottage and The Shingle House. Free parking is available at the parking areas of the mentioned hotel buildings. In good weather, the car can be driven close to the cottage via a small, narrow road down.
Within walking distance on the side of Lake Lohja, there is a small guest harbor of Mustio Manor.
The surrounding forests and roads offer beautiful jogging landscapes all the way to the village of Mustio.
The distance to the shop in Mustio is about 3.5 km, which can be comfortably covered, for example, by renting a Jopo bike from the reception of Mustio Manor!
Pets are welcome to accompany you to the cottage.
River Cottage
Ground floor about 15 square meters (293x5m).
- On the ground floor, there is a small kitchen with water, a small fridge, a kettle, a hotplate, and tableware for eight people. Additionally, there are a pot, a frying pan, and a small selection of kitchen utensils.
- On the ground floor, there is a 150 cm wide sofa bed that can be made into an extra bed for an additional fee.
- On the ground floor, there is a coat rack, a mirror, a small dining table with chairs and stools.
- Several windows with views of the river and yard area. Blackout roller blinds.
- From the ground floor, a steep ladder leads to the upper floor.
Upper floor about 21 square meters (346x620) (the space on the upper floor is limited by the gable roof).
- On the upper floor, there is a double bed and space for two junior mattresses. Due to the steep stairs, the upper floor is not recommended for small children.
- On the upper floor, there are two small windows. Blackout roller blinds.
Terrace and sauna:
- Stairs to the terrace. On the terrace, there is a table and chairs.
- From the terrace, there is an entrance to the sauna.
- The sauna is about 3.5 m2 (180x200). The sauna has an electric stove and a window, as well as a shower with a washbasin.
- In connection with the sauna, there is a dressing room of about 3 m2 (190x150) with a window and a small incinerating toilet. Blackout roller blinds.
- A compost toilet is located near the cottage, outside in a sheltered spot, with a small path leading to it.
Not suitable for people with mobility impairments. The path to the cottage goes downhill. Pathways are trails. Natural stone steps to the beach. The yard area is natural.
Gravitational ventilation. Electric heating. Fireplace (temporarily out of order).
